Cherry Blossom
Cherry Blossom dressed in her traditional Kimono with wide Obi belt hands us a branch filled with flowers. Sweet in scent and fragile. These blossoms last only a short time, reminding us to live our dreams now.

Alana (Honey Boo-Boo)
I love Honey Boo-Boo! She reminds me of a little Marilyn, Mae and Pixie all bundled up. Sassy, pouty, full of adventure and completely unpredictable. My doll Alana twirls on an icicle, poking out her belly, stretching out her arms to embrace the adventure.

Little Momma
Little Momma was so much fun to make. I adore all her little babies clamoring for her attention. Sometimes the best goddesses are in house coats, curlers and fuzzy socks! And of course she is standing on a wooden spoon

Mae West
Of course no Goddess series would do with out Mae West. In our time she is a screen goddess, but she symbolizes an older archetype of a woman figure. One that is curvy and sturdy, not a waif blown away by the first ill wind. And Mae does it with such an attitude... the original "You go girl" girl.

Marie
Marie is a Cajun legend. She's been to the Mardi Gras and collected her beads. As a little girl growing up in a small Louisiana town Mardi Gras was like another Halloween, except I stood still and people moved by and gave me candy and beads. It was not a wild, ugly event, like it is today in many places. It was about family, sharing with your neighbor and, of course, for big fun before everyone got serious and contemplative for lent

Robyn
Lovely Robyn is the Goddess of the sea. The pattern of her tail is created with a peyote stitch, a bead weaving technique used by ancient Incans. Her crab is also made of woven beads using an American Indian traditional brick weaving pattern.

Merry Beltane
Merry Beltane brings smiles of spring as she dances around the May pole while peeking through her faerie ring. Celtic lore says that only on May Day (May 1st) can the May Queen hold her ring and see into the fairy world . Just to think that her little friends flying around her are with us all the time. Next May while the earth reawakens from winter, dance around the May pole and don't forget to carry your fairy ring.

Najah
Najah is a name-sake of a woman who lives her goddess potential beautifully. In planning a festival a few years ago I met a belly dancer. When lining her up for this small town southern festival I was really nervous how things would go over. But an art festival is meant to enlighten, encourage and educate. Artists are to show us what we don't know and what we didn't know we might want. Najah started to dance and a warm breeze of the exotic Middle East surrounded us in the crowd. So comfortable in her own body! We were transformed. In no way was her dance lewd or provocative. Najah used her eyes, hands and smile encouraging us to play, have fun; to be a woman with a body of any type. Thank you Najah for dancing!

Ms. Prissy
Sometimes goddesses get Prissy! Ms. Prissy is a Southern Belle. Oh my she is high maitenance. She teaches others about tradition, elegance, self-respect and how a well placed insult can change many situations to ones favor. Prissy uses her fan not only for avoiding the vapors due to her corset being too tight, which is never tight enough, but also for being wickedly demure. Her antique mother of pearl button hat is the rage of the season, and matches the sheen of her voluptuous garden gown. Of course her ribbons were imported from Paris

Russian Cat Lady of the Bronx
Russian Cat Lady of the Bronx is locked in a time where ladies wore pearls and never left the home without being "made-up". She is the eccentric cat lady down the street, every community has one, except she does it with style and grace. Kate Pierson of the B-52's, a funky band of the 80's, was the physical inspiration for this figure. In no way do I presume Kate is eccentric, or has a cat, you just can beat her style!

Sacagawea
This goddess is one of the great mothers of our American history books, Sacagawea. What a gal, leading 2 lost men, through the country, in the summer and all with a newborn on her back. Of course she deserves to be a goddess. The talking stick she holds is a chipmunk paw my cats brought to me. It is wrapped and topped with a feather fan, again another "present". Sacagawea is holding her talking stick up, asking us to be still ....and listen. Listen to our selves, so we won't get lost.

Shelly
Shelly the Hula Dancer was produced as an assignment during my studies at the University of Georgia, Athens in 1997. Shelly has a balance of earthy raw scratch wool and a flowing sandy sea feel. Her skirt mimics the movement of water and her little top was just perfect to complete the look. Her best feature is her hair....Wild!! Just like our goddess selves should be when we wear our hula skirts and dance barefoot in the warm foamy surf.

Sofia
Sofia is my favorite, my third doll. I was going for a contradiction between the scratchy tough wool fibers and the graceful line of a seasoned dancer. Sofia posed just perfectly. She's graceful and fluid, but not nearly considered an ideal weight for a dancer. I fell in love with her. She inspires me. Sophia accomplished her goal despite her size. She shows us all we don't have to let our dreams fall away because of what we may perceive as an obstacle.

Teeny
Teeny is rocking her bikini. She doesn't mind she has a few gray hairs and fine lines around her eyes. She'll tell you, "As Isabella Rossellini says, "Yes I have laugh lines, I earned every one of them!"

Valkyrie
Valkyrie is homage to the warrior goddess in us all, although we may not realize it from time to time. I like to picture her as a little part in myself who is ready to fight any battle. For Valkyrie, it's an age old fight of human existence; A fight for morals, justice and love. All women before now and to be will at one time be presented with a battle field.

Viola
Viola the musical goddess. She is dressed in a delicate lace with a sparkling brooch at her waist. Poised with her arm in position, she waits for the conductors’ nod so she can begin enchanting us with her song.
